I run an anonymous remailer. Sometimes people flood the remailer network or try to send spam through it. To detect flood attempts, I search my mail log for too many connections from one address. But to protect my users' privacy, I make it impossible to match incoming and outgoing messages. So I wrote this program to keep short logs.
You may have a server and want to keep logs, but are not sure if the size of your /var partition can handle the amount of use you get. With cupyvei, you can plan the sizes of your log files in advance and know that they will never get any bigger.
